Woah, I knew I spoke too soon. While my husband is away I have lined up several projects to do around the house. On Sunday I said to myself "I'm so glad I'm not doing any cake right now." As soon as I said that I knew I was in for it. Monday morning I got a call from Michelle at the Naval Hospital and asked if she could order a cake for Wednesday (TODAY)!!! I told her I could but it would be last minute and I wouldn't be able to do a filling because it's really a no-no to bake and decorate in the same day but it can be done.

Anyway, I delivered the cake today and she also paid me for the cake board (plywood!!!!! icon_mad.gificon_mad.gif ) that she lost. I get home and I have an email waiting from someone at the hospital that I have made several cakes for including her promo cake. It's the Nurse Corps birthday again!!! She needs a cake for next Friday! WOO HOO!!!!!

The girl that watches my kids at the day care at the gym officially asked me to make her wedding cake for Aug. 25th! (Never mind my hubby comes home the following Friday)!!! August is going to fly!!! Cross your fingers!!!!!!

I even have the Hospital Corpsman Birthday cake to make next month!

The orders for the year have already begun. This is the busy time for decorators near military, at least Navy, bases what with promo's, transfers, birthdays, blah blah blah!

All ya'll out there that do cake for the military!!! Let's make them fantastic! The cakes help make the special occasion memorable and let's not forget your cakes will be photographed if it's for a ceremony!!!!!!!

Just excited ya'll! Thanks for reading!!!!!! icon_redface.gificon_biggrin.gif

So you're taking a break from Lambeth and just doing easy cakes for a while.... icon_lol.gificon_biggrin.gificon_razz.gificon_lol.gif (ROFLMAO)

You are the master of military cake design. icon_biggrin.gif

Right! Seriously, thank you! I try and take every opportunity I can to improve my techniques and I have so much to learn as far as the finer details of decorating go! The true challenge for me is when someone asks for a cake just like another one I did but of course it has different info and sometimes picture on it, I have to try and make it different. When I create something I try and do my best and that can't be topped but then I am faced with a challenge like with the Nurse Corps Birthday cake coming up! How in the world can I top last years!?!?!?! icon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_confused.gificon_cry.gif That is one of my favorite cakes that I have done. I don't know how to make this year's different!

What a delima (sp).
