DH is a huge Thor fan so I thought I'd try to do him a cake for his birthday. It's not until June but I'd like something to really wow him. Any ideas? Anyone done a Thor cake?

I guess you're thinking of making a cake in the shape of a giant Thor's hammer...right? Don't really have any ideas on execution, but that sounds like an awesome idea! I can't wait to see pics! Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

Is he a fan of the Marvel comic "Thor" or just the mythical Thor? The background of the whole cake could be like Dark w/ clouds to insinuate storms brewing. I thought you could make the hammer, his helmet with the lightening or wing thingys and some type of lightening bolts all over the cake (maybe made from fondant/gumpaste or royal icing?)...

Marvel comic book Thor is his favorite. He actually has a bust in his office - geek. icon_lol.gif

Thanks for the ideas! I blank out on these things!
