Whew, that was a whopper of a cake. I never know what to charge the first time I make a cake. I made about $30.00 an hour on this cake--not too bad since there was not alot of frosting decorations. All in all, Hula Barbie took me about 6 hours to complete. Baked 11X15 and 9X13 at one time for 3 sets. Then 3 hours constructing, mixing frosting and finishing touches.

Loved the challenge but I'm glad I only have 4 cakes this coming week and 3 dozen cookies. Taking off next weekend for Memorial Day. I've been practicing my "I'm sorry but I'm off for the holiday weekend." I so have a problem saying "No!".

Wow! That is one big cake and it looks great! Did they supply the Barbie or did you get it? How much did you charge for this cake if you don't mind my asking?

That is one huge cake. How many do you figure it would feed?

I charged $200.00. Less supplies, I cleared about $30 an hour.

Tha cake served more than 100 guests. Probably around 130--hard to say with all the carving and sculpting.
