Fondant?

I see alot of cakes on here with fondant that looks shiny. I really like that look. I was wondering what you add to it, or if it is a certain kind of fondant that makes it look that way. My fondant I use is store bought and I have only made 2 fondant cakes, and it is dull in color, but still pretty. I just want to know how to get that shiny look. Thanks

You can apply luster dust to the fondant to make it shiny.

Rolled buttercream comes out shinier than fondant if you want to use it.

Or, after you cover your cake, you can rub a little crisco on your palms and gently rub your cake down.

Or you can lightly, and I mean lightly, spritz it with a mist of water.
