I need help with how to make rosebuds. I have tried doing it the Wilton way but I don't know what I am doing wrong. I get the first petal right but trying to get the second to look right never works...any help would be great!

BethieB:

Hi! The way I do mine is bag at 45 degrees, wide part down.

Squeeze, while pushing away from you. Once you get to the "top" of the bud, hold--still applying pressure--and let the bud "fan" just a little, then pull back.

Once you've come back to the starting point, "cross over" just a little with the tip, and finish with an "x" like motion.

So, for lack of better terms, you've just made something almost like a "breast cancer" ribbon motion, but with a little fanning at the top of it, and not too much of the "x" at the bottom.

At the bottom, cross over once on each side with another very (small) petal around the stamen.

Hope this isn't too wierd or foreign! Hope it helps!
Best of luck...
