Okay, I did a search and found that cellophane is safe for cake boards. However, I'm still not sure if I can cover the board and then put the cake directly on the cellophane. I bought cellophane wrap (the kind they wrap baskets with) and just want to be 100% sure that this is safe and that the cake won't stick to it.
Thanks for any advice
Diane

I have used cellophane before without any problems with the cake. The only real problem I had was actually covering the board. That stuff is pretty slippery! icon_smile.gif

I use it on almost all my cake boards... never had an issue, never had a customer complain, but I have heard that they need to be carful when you cut, not to cut into the board or bits will get in the cake, but as far as I know that has never happened to one of my customers
