I'm in the home stretch of a very involved cake and I just needed a break so I came here....
The cake is not due till 5:00 tomorrow and I have a couple hours work left to do...but I'm tired....

Coffee does nothing anymore....I had about 5 cups today...

So...do I:

a) continue working and chance drifting off nose first into my top tier....

b) set the alarm clock and take an hour nap and then get up and finish everything tonight so that I'm free and clear tomorrow?

c) go to sleep with the disaster area (kitchen) the way it is and worry about it tomorrow?

Provided you have no children under foot or other distractions I would choose option c. I know I do better work when I am rested. Being as tired as you are I would hate to see a disaster happen due to the fact you need a break. I can't wait to see your latest creation though. I truely love your work! Get some rest the kitchen will still be there in the morning!

i was in the exact same situation last night. I finally chose option c. I was getting frustrated with the littlest things not going perfect. Woke up this morning and everything went as planned. And i wasn't crabby anymore!

Get some rest girl, you deserve it.

I can never go to sleep with the kitchen a disaster. If you truly think you can no longer be effective on the cake I would clean everything up and go to bed. Then in the morning you can wake up to a clean kitchen and start on your cake right away icon_smile.gif

Good luck I know it will be fantastic!
