Hi, I am currently taking a course at Miami-Dade College. It's non-credit. The first course is a basic cake baking and decorating class. The next course beginning at the end of June is Sugar Flowers and the third course in August is Fondant from Scratch. Unfortunately, they are expensive. Also, I don't think I am going to register for Sugar Flowers or Fondant. I took the basic course because I wanted to master buttercream, but the instructor, although sweet and talented, is not a good teacher. I feel like I wasted my money- everything I've learned so far, I taught myself. So I'm going to register for the Wilton courses instead. I'm sure the instructor has to actually "teach" in the Sugar Flowers course, but I've decided I'm not going to take any chances and save my money.
