I spent about 13 hours working on my son's 3D dragon cake, and when I took pictures today I had my lens cap on!!!! I went to check my digital camera later on and there was nothing but black space! I can't believe I did that. I had it all set up nice on a red tablecloth outside with prettty bushes behind it. A couple of other people took pics with their phones so I'm hoping they got one. ....and I do have a couple of my son blowing out the candles but you mostly see the back of the dragon.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?

I haven't left the cap on but lately I have taken cakes to the location and I had planned on taking pictures but get all wrapped up in talking to the client that I totally forget. Some times the client send me a photo but not very often.
I feel your pain ![]()
You're not alone! ![]()
My husband left the black cap on his video camera while I was giving birth to my only child. Unfortunately, there are no pictures/video of him when he was born. We were distraught ![]()
OMG surfergina!!!! My husband did that too! Right as soon as I had my baby, I asked my hubby to film us while he was still on my tummy. My hubby pushed "fade" and then "record". It starts recording when you push "fade", so he actually turned off the camera by pushing "record". All I saw was a quick fade in and then blank. I just about killed him when I saw it
That's waaaaay worse than not having a cake picture though. At least you can make another cake, but having a baby takes a lot more effort! ![]()

yep, i agree with you! I won't mind about the cake, as it's not TOO painful to make than having a baby! ![]()

Back to the topic....I hate when I don't have a photo of a cake...sorry that happened to ya!
