Items You've Made For Fundraisers
Decorating By oneprimalscream Updated 2 May 2007 , 1:16pm by oneprimalscream
Last week, I had two fundraisers: one for my brother's school, and one for his cub scout troop. I also had two cake orders separate from all of this.
I apologize in advance for the large photos. It's late, but perhaps later, I can edit the photos to make them a bit smaller.
Here are the cakes/cookies for the school.
Cookie Bouquet: Sold for $20
Cookie Bouquet: Sold for $20
Sour Cream White Cake: Sold for $41
Coconut Cream Cake: Sold for $21
Cakes/cookies for cub scout troop:
Cookie Bouquet: Sold for $28
Was packaged all nicely in the end, but we were running late as usual, and didn't photograph it ![]()

Cub Scout Cake: Sold for $67
This was taken as it came right out of the fridge, and the image looked strange. But after a while, it went back to normal (thank goodness!!!)
One of the cake orders:
Golf Cake: Paid $25
So, the point of this thread?
Post YOUR photos of cakes you have donated to auctions/fundraisers, and if known, the price they went for. Thought it might be helpful for other users who might need ideas or inspiration for an auction that may be coming up, to see what items seem to go for the most money.
All of your goodies look great! I haven't done a fundraiser yet. I wanted to sell cookies to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation walkathon in a few weeks and just ran out of time. Definitely putting it on the list to start early next year! I am doing a United Way fundraiser at the end of the month, but just selling individual cookies for that, nothing fancy. Can't wait to see more pictures from everyone!
THe only cake I have donated to a fundlraiser lately was a Tomato Soup cake (no decorations) and went for $75.00.
Oh, no...take it back...I made the pirate cake for an auction (in the form of a gift certificate)...THe bid was $100.00
Sorry, I haven't learned how to post to the forums yet
Thank you, Michelle!
Mac, Tomato Soup Cake? That sounds really interesting!
One thing I noticed, at the Cub Scout Auction, was that the more toys/candy that the cake had, the higher it went for. Another family that we know bought a cake for $75, just because it had plastic army guys on top. Another one had a ton of candy on it, and it went for $100. Someone also took the Wilton 23-cupcake Stand, and put cupcakes/toys on it, and it sold for around $70.
So, my advice to anyone who is doing a cake auction aimed at children - the more toys, the more money!
