Hi I'm really proud of this one,
Here is the cake I just delivered
Choc cake with strawberry-rhubarb filling, iced in bc with gumpaste chalice and bible, cover page is fondant, laminated picture
I was sooo scared the chalice would fall off, but it DIDN'T, hoorah
Just caught the family, before they left for church too

Thanks
The Chalice top was molded on an inverted plastic Lollipopholder, I found one of blinking lollipops, which came with a plastic top. That was the exact right size, so I bought that, removed the plastictop and gave the lolli to my daughter. When half dry I added the brim and stuck it on with thinned down gumpaste, that is a good glue.
when completely dried, painted with gold in vodka. Then I formed the bottom two globs and inserted the shortened lollipopstick (new one), added another glob of gumpaste for the top part and glued on the dried chalicetop. When all that was dry, painted everything gold.
