I have a friend who is going to be on leave from Iraq in a couple of weeks. He will be home 15 days. We are all excited. I want to make a cool cake for him. Besides being in the military he is a fireman. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you wish an Arabic theme, how about a palm tree, camel, coffee pot, shisha, windtower, minaret. But I don't quite know if this would be appropriate, given the situation. Maybe something just welcoming and homely would be a better for him. Sorry I'm not much help, good luck.

Could you do a half and half cake....Maybe the front part of a tank (with the shooting thing) and a fire engine as the rear with the fire hose-pointing at tank?

Put something on it like Fire Starter, Fire's abound you, Where you lead, fires follow you, Fire Away, We wish you'd get fired, You are the center of fire, Cease Fire, Fires and Brimstone, Let's get fired up, Are you chasing the fire or is the fire chasing you.......

There is a beautiful cake in the gallery, sorry I can't search it but it's a sheet cake with the American flag draped over it. I think it may be stacked higher on one side to add some more depth. You could do something like that and put the fireman's seal and then the seal for whatever military corp he's in laying on top of the flag.
