I'm making two tiers cake. I want to transport a smaller cake on the top from the counter. What I did was I use the spatula underneath and my other hand to hold on top. But my fingertips poked alittle on fondant. How do I prevent it from happening again?

Maybe next time wear rubber gloves. Do you have time to cover those prints w/ some decorations ? icon_smile.gif

I use 2 spatulas underneath and don't touch the top at all. Just be slow and careful. I have so far never dropped one.
good luck

Chill the cake...LOL!!! I'm all about chilling things. The fondant will be firmer and you'll be less likely to poke your finger through it.
