Although I have not participated yet, I do now that CC holds different contests=) They usually announce it on the left side of the page. If you want to see what the previous contests were about, click the gallery button and there is an option to click into the contest photos. Welcome to CC btw=) Jen

Yes anyone can participate. Next time they have a contest, they will post the rules. When you go to upload a picture, an option will appear in the drop down box as to WHERE you want your picture to post and it'll say so-and-so contest, then you pic the contest and voila! You're in!
