I have to do a cake for a nursing school graduate. I've seen the ones on this site, but I'm trying to do something more 3-D than a sheet cake w/ nursing items on top. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! icon_smile.gif

does this grad have a specialty area? (ie; surgical, pediatrics, cardiac). That might help narrow down some suggestions.

I think a tiered cake would be cute, with bandaids, syringes, nurses cap, surgical mask, nursing emblem, on the sides of the cake would be great. Would be easy to do using fondant, so you could just adhere them to the sides, top, edges, etc. I wish I had a way to draw it up so you could visualize it. Perhaps even making the top tier the nursing cap (carved) as well. And yes.....they do still make you wear them in school. I had to wear my cap every day of clinical in nursing school. ughhh.
Good luck!
