So I have a family friend that wants a graduation cake. I gave her a design that I like on here. (post under this) She liked it too and so did her daughter!

I want to do this in a half sheet and charge her $1.50 per serving for only 40 guests (I know it may serve more) So, $60. Then I need to charge her for the Grad hat that I am going to make myself and the diploma! (the diploma I am going to do a wafer paper attached to gumpaste) How much do I charge for each of these? And is it going to be too much?? We have been going over the design and I don't want to tell her too much for it to scare her off!

I actually wasn't going to make the bottom part of the hat cake. I was just going to make a cirlce of gumpast and set it on top of that after it hardens.

That is a beautiful cake! My price for that cake would be $125-$150.
Good luck. I can't wait to see the picture. thumbs_up.gif

Oh really??? I guess I am giving the "friendly" discount. Like I said only $1.50 perseving and I was only going to charge her for the 40.

How much for the hat and diploma?
