i really want to try chocolate buttercream. anyone know of a good recipe. TY

I have a couple of different recipes, but one that always gets rave reviews is this one:

4 c. pwd. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 t. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

I mix all of this, then I just add cocoa to get the desired intensity of chocolate....sorry, I never measure. Next time I make it, I'll try to measure. Maybe you could start with a 1/4 c. and go from there. You'll probably have to add some more milk as you add in the cocoa.

I just used Wilton's recipe, I think I added 3/4 cup of cocoa to their buttercream recipe. After it sat in the fridge for a day, it was sooo good.
