Does anyone have a KA Classic with a 3 qt bowl? If so, can it be used to make MMF? I am borrowing it and don't want to break it trying to make MMF.

Hmmm--mine's bigger and it works but don't know about a 3qt classic. So here's a bump.

Yes, it can be done. I just made it and it actually works better than my big Pro 6 that I broke this week making the same stuff.

Well, it was my own s-t-u-p-i-d mistake. I was too lazy to change from the paddle to the dough hook and the gears broke. So, for future reference, ALWAYS change to the dough hook when adding the second half of the powder sugar. If not, you may be out more than you bargained for.

I do the same thing but I use the hook attachment, since it is like dough..
But I scrape the side often to assist the mixer. icon_smile.gif Love your name ...

Thanks for the warning--I do a lot of scraping with the dough hook too. Plus I usually wind up doing some hand kneading to get the consistency the way I want it. But it's soooo much easier and CLEANER with the KA!
