I was wondering if you can color white chocolate clay? I have read on this amazing site that people who color their chocolate for chocolate transfers put Crisco in the mixture so it will not seize up. Can you do the same for chocoalte clay? Also, can I use this chocolate clay as I would, say, fondant, for flower cut-outs and such? Will it harden like fondant?
Thanks ahead of time for any help.

You absolutely can. I do it all the time. Check out the latest cake in my bio ( topsy-turvy birthday). It's all white modeling chocolate.

I've used both paste and petal dust colors with no problem. The only thing to remember is that the yellow tint of the white chocolate will affect the color. For instance, blue is really hard because of the yellow base ( green tinge)

It's one of my favorite mediums to work with. Have fun!

No need for the shortening for candy clay, just knead in your colors.

Thank you both very much! SugarplumStudio, I love what your accents with the modeling clay. It does look like fun, but I have lots of practice. Can't wait!
