Does anyone put a filling in the (large) Wondermold pan? If so, what's the best way to go about this and still maintain the shape?

I've never actually filled the wonder mold before. I usually stack my wonder molds on top of another cake (like a 9" round) and fill that, but not the cake in the wondermold. I'll give you a bump though in case anyone else can answer your question.

That is a tough question- I would say it really depends on what your doing with the mold. When I worked at a bakery they always refused to fill them because of shifting in transportation and it would just become messy- Your brave if your try it I would love to know if it works for you
good luck

The cake is going on top of two 9" rounds. Those will be filled with a layer of chocolate ganach and a layer of chocolate mousse (my pregnant sister is having a serious chocolate craving icon_lol.gif )
I'm worried that if I slice the wondermold in half I will never get it back together properly icon_cry.gif

Okay, this may not work but I'm going to try it next month when I make my DGD her requested "Princess Cake". I plan on inserting some pudding into the mold at different spots using a tip 12, like when you fill a cupcake. Hopefully I won't get a big gooey mess.

I have only sliced the wondermold horizontally and put BC in it. Did not have problem putting back together, but might be harder if filling is not as thick as BC.
