I would like some suggestions on icings I can use on cakes that will be covered with fondant. I have used bc icing in the past and would like to branch out and try something different. I feel like I am eating lard with bc. Would a whipped cream frosting be stable enough to cover with fondant and not slip around or ooze out? Any other suggestions on better tasting or lighter frostings to use?
Thanks! icon_biggrin.gif

What about IMBC? I haven't tried it has anyone else? Are you using all Crisco B/C?

I use all butter. I feel like I'm eating a stick of butter. I do like it, just trying to broaden my icing horizons and find something that will hold up under fondant.

Here's a good frosting thread:

The title is misleading there are links to lots of different frostings.
