Need Frosting Suggestions Please

I'm making a wedding cake from my friend later this month. The bottom and top layers will be Red Velvet and the middle layer will be Lemon Poppy Seed.

I was thinking that Cream Cheese Butter Cream would be nice, but I don't want to put together a combination that doesn't work.

Any suggestions are welcome!
