I know that the site explains how to do this but maybe I just don't understand because I am lost when I read it. I would love to know how to do this thanks in advance

Maybe you could tell us a little about your cake that your thinking about making. How many tiers is it going to me? There are a couple different ways to make topsy turvy cakes - some use the stacked construction actually cutting the cake crooked - some use seperator plates that are crooked to make the cakes "appear" crooked. What questions do you have? We'd like to help.
