Hi everyone, I am giving my daughter a party at the local skating rink in 2 weeks. I would like to make a round cake assembled like a skating rink with the walls and openings to enter the rink but am lost as to how to do it and what to actually put in the rink. i would like to have kids on skates but I am not very good with making figures. Any ideas or pics would be greatly appreciated!!!!

How about just a skate? I've done it using the stand-up bunny pan with the big ears. Pretty cool.

I thought about making a pair of stand up skates to match her skates that she will be wearing to the party which are purple and white. Maybe I should just make a two tier stacked cake decorated with purple fondant and a small pair of stand up skates. Thanks for the idea!!!

You could also do a FBCT of kids (or character (s) skating) on the cake. My daughter had a skating party for her 13th, but she wanted Tinkerbell, so I didn't have to think to much about the skating aspect of it. Good luck!
