One of my students in Course 2 wants some ideas on making cakes for men. She doesn't have access to the internet so told her I would do some investigating for her. Any ideas out there?

Men are so different...Could you narrow it down a little? Do you want a shaped cake? Can you choose a theme, hobby, special interest? Something generally masculine would be chocolate with heavy borders.

I am currently making a birthday cake for our neighbor who happens to be a man and it is a difficult thing to do. I asked his wife what she would like on it and even she had no idea. she said I leave it up to you.
He hasn't any hobbies or special interests so I decided to put a t-shirt on the cake and his age for a numbered t-shirt and his name. I think that will do it. Simple but cannot think of anything else. I am making chocolate and white border. If anyone has any other ideas I wouldn't mind hearing them.

I'd base it on occupation or hobbies. Alot of times you can borrow ideas from little boy's cakes since men like alot of the same stuff; cars, trucks, heavy equipment, etc.
Just remember when hunting for ideas that the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys.
