I just tried the Durable 3D recipe for a wedding cake. I have to make a chocolate tier too. Can I use a chocolate mix for this instead of white??? Or, for that matter, any flavor???? Thanks to all the brilliant people of CC.

Yes, I did. It is called Durable Cake for 3D and Wedding Cakes! I just baked it and is still warm. Has a good flavor, but have not been able to tell actual texture yet. My batter was very thick......IS THAT NORMAL??????? Thanks in advance thumbs_up.gif

If you want a good 3d chocolate cake, try Nati's Dark chocolate mud cake in the recipes section.
