I was in Walmart last night when what did I see in the cake section?!
A 6x6 inch white gumpaste bow! And afer seeing that they wanted $16.97 for it I have resolved to become a MAJOR bow maker and charge only $ 12.95! icon_biggrin.gif

Think I have a chance against WallyWorld? LOL!!

What next?!

I saw that too....
I would say you have a way better chance at making the bows and selling them....
Their bows were horrid, and to charge that much for them to boot...

Also Wal-Mart has white fondant roses and leafs for $26.99. You can tell that they come from a factory line. When is a bride going to find the time to make her own wedding cake. The only ones I can think of is if their budget is very very low and they have to save money.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I don't even think they are gumpaste. I am pretty sure they are paper mache.

i saw those but the roses are not made of fondant. i think it is cardboard...on the box it say they are not edible. there was a box open and i touch it and it felt like cardboard.

In our Walmart I saw that bow and I don't know about yours, but the one I saw is made of a felt-like fabric material and can be colored by grinding chalk into powder and brushing it on. Not appealing when it's so easy to make a fondant bow!
