How long can whipped cream stay out of the fridge? I am making a cake tonight for tomorrow and would like to do a whipped cream filling w/ fresh strawberries? Any suggestions???

It probably needs to be refrigerated overnight. Or you could wait to frost it tomorrow. Personally, I would just do it at the last minute.

This is acutally for the filling. So I need to fill it and frost tomorrow?

For a filling, I would leave it out for 2-3 hours. Put it back in the fridge after that. Or,you could try Pastry Pride or Frosting Pride or another non-dairy creamer and not worry about it. Add some vanilla, though, to improve the flavor.

Sorry, but yes, even if you only use it as filling, you must refrigerate anything with whipped cream in it or on it. Whipped cream, even heavily stabilized, will start to wilt if left to warm up, and your cake will get soggy.
