...for full sheet?

I'm doing a full sheet, which I've never done before, and need to see how many cake mixes it will take.

My 12x18 pan takes 3, so if your doing an 16x24 full sheet, I'd say 6.

I'll be using a 12x18 pan so I'll use 3 mixes per pan.

Question- about what height will I get from each cake?

Also-will this sheet cake feed 100? Some of the postings (and maybe Wilton too) say it should feed about 80-95.

Here is a list of how many cups you will need for that siz pan. I would suggest measuring by cups not by mixes b/c each brand of mix yeilds a different amount of batter. If you put in the recommended amount of batter you should end up with a 2" high cake, if you want to make sure it is 2" high add just a touch more batter.

You will get 108 peices if you cut them 1" and 2" (1" down the 12" side and 2" down the 18" side) If this is too small then you will either want to make another cake or make it two layers and cut smaller peices. You will have to determine if there will be a lot of cake needed. i.e. is it the only thing being eaten? will there be a large meal before hand, or are there other desert choices?

I use the 12 x 18 x3inch pan and that takes at least 5 mixes... I do have to level it off, but that's ok as I'd rather level than not have enough in the pan. You should be good with three mixes.

as for the height it may go over just enough to get a good clean level on it.

for the servings... my pan is supposed to feed 72 people double layered, but with just one layer I think I could get at least 100 servings out of it. so a double would of course be the 144 servings.

hope this helped
