My office contracted me to do company birthday cake for them this week. The recipie I have is from the cake dr it calls for real amaretto. Will this burn off while it bakes? My main concern is bringing in a cake that has liqour in it. Thanks in advance

I don't know if it cooks off.........but I was thinking if you're really concerned why not try switching out the milk or water in the recipe for some amaretto flavored coffee creamer....or add a little amaretto coffee syrup??? This would give you the amaretto flavoring without worrying about the alcohol content!!!

I was wondering if you could do something like this. I would like to make an amaretto cake for my friend's birthday but don't want to buy that expensive bottle of liquor just to use a cup of it.
