The other night I needed a chocolate cake and all I had was a box french vanilla. So instead of putting vanilla pudding in the cake mix I added a box of chocolate pudding and it was a lighter chocolate but very very good! It had a rasberry filling and everyone loved it! In fact I sold a cake just like that one.

There's a posting in the recipes section about changing a white cake mix to a chocolate one. Haven't tried it, but thought I'd throw it out there. icon_smile.gif

OMG, I think there are less ingredients in a homemade chocolate cake, lol, plus they taste better.

I did this recently....I put 3/4 cup of Cocoa in the mix AND 1/3 cup of hershey's chocolate syrup. Wasn't as dark as I would have liked but it did taste like chocolate.

Hope this helps!!!
