I have a bride requesting a "funny couple" wedding cake topper made out of claydough. I've found websites that sell claydough funny wedding cake toppers, but only in the UK. Can these be made by hand and is claydough just another word for fondant?

I think of claydough as the flour-salt dough mixture of childhood. I wonder if it lasts longer (as a momento) than fondant and that is why some people use it?
