HELP! - Please tell me if MMF will take a red food coloring to a real dk. red or should I not waste it, and go buy Wiltons?
I am doing a Strawberry shortcake cake for my granddaughters 3rd bday and have decided to put fondant accents on it. I have some MMF made, but I remember reading here that it doesn't take dk. colors real well?

Hmmmm, I got some Americolor super red and it worked great! However, I noticed with the black and brown it changed the texture of the fondant too much, I threw one color out and had to add a bunch of Sweetex to the second batch of brown...it cracked and stuff but was still sticky...really odd..

Thanks! I just need a REAL DEEP RED so, I didn't want to waste my MMF if it wasn't going to accept it.
I'll give it a go!
