Can I make lillies with fondant or do I HAVE to use gum paste? I find it easier to use the fondant for other types of flowers. Will they form up just as good and dry hard? Thanks, Helen

Hi Helen!

You could make the lillies out of fondant. However, you won't be able to get them as thin, and they will take much longer to dry.

Good luck

perhaps try mixing some gumpaste into your fondant. But all gumpaste would be better.

I mix about a tsp of gum-tex to a handful of fondant for my flowers. It works well. I have never tried gumpaste so I don't know if its more elastic ect, but I can roll pretty thin without it tearing when I mix that in. Good Luck.

I have not tried the gum-tex yet either. I have a can of it in my pantry. Just not enough time to play with it right now......
