I am making a brown fondant loop bow and I want to add some pearl Luster Dust to it. I don't want to waste my Luster Dust, so I have a question.

Do you put the Luster Dust on all of your loops before you assemble your bow or do you apply the Luster Dust after the bow has been assembled? I have read the tutorial and they apply the Luster Dust first but I am wanting to know what everyone else does.

Thanks,
darkchocolate

learned the hard way, do it before you make the loop

I too add it after I make the loop and let it dry. I then assemble the bow.

I made my bows, let them dry overnight and then painted with luster dust. Keep in mind I'm a newbie but I didn't have any problems doing it this way turned out gorgeous.

I add my lustre dust before making up the loops and bow (as per the tutorial here) and it works perfectly. I've also heard that the lustre dust adheres better to the fondant before its dry.

I do it after I dry the loop and before I assemble the bow.
