I have a groom's cake for next weekend, golf themed of course and I plan to use the sports ball pan on top of rounds.... there are plenty on here like it... my question is how do I get the dimpled look to my golf ball?

if fondant easy way is use the back end of an artist's paint brush. different size handles = different size dimples

should work on well-crusted buttercream

Yep, the end of a paintbrush is what I did for some fondant cookies.
