I saw a cake on here that had fondant daisies on it, they looked gorgeous. They weren't flat, the petals were perked up - how can I achieve that look? Do i need to make them ahead of time and prop something underneath and let them dry??? I'm clueless on this one.
If youre talking about gumpaste ones, I make mine by placing the flower on a piece of foam, and then press the centre into the foam, this lifts the petals. if its small ones I find there is no need to support. Bigger ones might need some

I just learned these in my wilton class, hope this makes sense:
Cut daisies from fondant with daisy cutter. Place on foam.
Use the pointy end of a flower making tool to gently press from the tip of each petal to the center (you're pulling from the outside to the inside). This will give each petal some texture and will naturally curl up the tips. Then add your center and dry.
You can even layer 2 or 3 together to make a really pretty daisy.
