Here is a cake I made for my daughter's school to be auctioned off. It ended up going for $180.00 icon_surprised.gif In our small town you just don't see that!

We live in the real town of Mayberry! Not too big but not extremely small either.

Mt. Airy has a population of about 8,500 people. I live in Troy which is to the south and we have only about 2500 or so people. That's a fabulous amount to raise at an auction for one cake -- and it's so cute! Congratulations! I might just have to do a cake for our Relay for Life next weekend and get them to auction it off (thanks for the idea)! thumbs_up.gif

You go girl! I know your school appreciated your donation! Great work. (I'll bet you're somewhat of a celebrity in your town now!) Not that you weren't already that is!

What a fantastic price for your cake! It makes it worthwhile to donate cakes when you get that amount! icon_biggrin.gif

Don't feel bad! I've been through Mt. Airy numerous times but I actually looked it up on the Internet tonight!!! icon_wink.gif I looked at the Mt. Airy home page; it's really cute. Talks about being "Mayberry" and has a picture of Andy on it. I guess most people call it Mayberry and know where they're talking about even tho that's not the "official" name!!! I'm only about 90 minutes from you. Ellen
