I have read of members using Lorann oil to flavor their fondant. It does not take much, and does not change the texture of the fondant on them.

if you use a flavoring oil to flavor it, is it still alright if you color it too?
Sorry for all the questions but haven't figured out all the right/wrong things to do with fondant yet. icon_redface.gif BUT... this is the place I learn everyday!!!!!! icon_lol.gif

Yes you can flavor and color your fondant. Won't hurt it. icon_smile.gif

As was mentioned before you can flavor it with candy oils, but you can also use extracts as well, you just will need to add a little powder suger if it becomes sticky.

I use almond extract with the MMF and its fabulous! Since its clear, you have no effect on colors developing. I've also heard from others on here that they add lemon or orange for a slight citrus taste. Gonna have to try it next!

Lorann oils work best for me in flavoring fondant. They have lots of different flavors to choose from and only need a few drops to work.
