Well look at it this way.....with the price of gas it would cost you the same in shipping as it would to start your car up and drive across the city!! HA!HA! Just kidding!!! You may have to order a few things online and just pay the shipping.Try Ebay also....there is lots of cake decorating stuff and if you email the seller first and ask shipping costs at least you will know up front how much!!

I live in the Okanagan in BC and it is not the easiest place to get supplies. I wait until somebody drives to the coast to get some of my supplies, or there is a Michaels (very limited) in Kelowna (1 hour away)!!!
I will be going down to the States (Washington State) soon, to the Wenatchee and Pasco area, I can hardly wait to his some of the stores when I go!!

I have ordered from www.countrykitchensa.com - they ship to Canada too. Not sure of the shipping cost, as I live close to the border and picked it up in the US.
www.goldaskitchen.com
www.galeswholesale.com
Both of these online stores have cake decorating supplies. Gale's is cheaper usually, but sometimes the quantities of certain items is 6 or 12 because they are a wholesaler.

Gale's is a great place, but doesn't have too much in the cake decorating dept. I shop there in person (I live in Regina) and unfortunately most of their stuff you'll find at Michael's. I really prefer Golda's kitchen as they carry far more that Gales....Just my two cents worth..........

Where I live there's a store called 'distribution Resto' and she can order anything I want from Wilton, Ateco etc. She's cheaper than Golda's kitchen. But I need to not be in a hurry. She orders when she have enough to get a discount shipping price. When I'm in a hurry I order from Golda's kitchen but then the client who needs it knows the price of the cake will go up a little. And I'm on Ebay everyday so I can spot real bargains, find rare pans etc.... Sometimes I find great things on American sites. KopyKake is fast delivery (UPS) and they mark the package as so that you don't pay duties fees. that's a good thing.

I got my Americolors from here at CC and they have great service and reasonable shipping. Got some cake pans and stands off e-bay only if they are super cheap or a rare find. I bought some luster dust at discountsugarflowers.com and they also have great prices and reasonable shipping too.
