Do you ice these in BC then in fondant or does any one have suggestions for something else? I have bc I have the rolled icing for petit fours or simple syrup any ideas? Confused and need direction.

Thank you much,
Shan

There is no set rule to how you decorate a mini cake. It is at yours, or your client's discretion. Use whatever your customer wants, or whatever you are comfortable with.

Rolled icing for petit fours? Do you mean regular rolled fondant?

I would use the BC, then possibly a rolled fondant overlay.

I made small egg cakes for Easter. I basiccally crumb coated them in bc and did a poured fondant over them. I then decorated them with royal icing. They turned out really well. Sorry I do't have a pic to show you. If you need a recipe for poured fondant let me know. Good luck!
