I just made this filling for the first time (filled a 9 inch round chocolate cake). Do I need to keep this in the fridge? I only have a crumb coat on right now, but will be deocrating it later tonight. Does it need to stay in the fridge until it is served?

Also, I have a bunch of filling left over. Can I freeze it???

If you used whipping cream, yes. If you used buttercream then it is ok left out.
