Ok.. I found the directions, made my loops..hung them on a broomstick handle for two days and then more than half of my loops broke while I was trying to remove them from the handle. Should I have waited longer for them to dry....?
Help please!

I always stand them up on their sides on a cookie sheet..........I don't even bother with hanging them, mine always break while they're hanging....the fondant stretches out too much and I break most of them.......just lay them on their sides to dry out...the fondant probably stuck to the broom handle ...maybe you could dust it with cornstarch or powdered sugar if you hang them next time.

I didn't lay mine on the broomstick I just laid them sideways on a cookie sheet. I was worried that mine would break too if I had to slide them off. Sorry about your broken loops, hope you don't need it soon. I did mine a week early just to make sure that I didn't have a problem.

Thanks so much for your input. I'm gonna give it another try on Monday..I don't need them for another week (thank goodness).
If all fails I'll use a coupon from Sunday's paper and buy one of those ready made ones from Michael's.(That's cheating ...isn't it?)!

The broom stick things just doesn't work apart from breakage it tends to make them too uniform in shape and size.. when making a loop bow you will need various sizes and shapes to fill in the gaps... the broom handle method doesn't allow much help when needing to fill gaps... my first one was a disaster, second one better.when i dried them on their sides.. also allow lots more drying time than you think you will need.

When I made mine, I made them all different lengths with the biggest on the bottom row. I cut them out pinched the ends together, pushed into shape and propped the middle up with tissues. I allowed about a day drying time but would have been less time if I had of used modelling paste/ gum paste than fondant.
