Ok, I can't find my sifter. I think my son may have added it to his toy collection or to the trash. What alternatives do I have?

Zap it in the food processor or blender for a couple of seconds.

Sorry, when I first read this, I read it as "I can't find my SISTER" and I got really nervous for you! LOL, what a dope I am.

Anyway, do you have a strainer? I sometimes push things through a mesh strainer with a spoon to get lumps out.

I have a 4 year old so I sympathize with things "mysteriously" disappearing. Hopefully your sifter will make a comeback before too long.

Good luck.

Martha Stewart recently recommended whisking briskly instead of sifting. I love this it is so much faster and works great!! (sometimes, okay usually, I just use the wire whisk attachment for my KA!)

I do this all the time! I love it, it's fast, and I've never had a problem!

Oooh whisking would be so much easier, I HATE sifting it takes forever, maybe I do it wrong?? I have tried a metal collander & a handheld sifter and they take ages.
