hi all. i've been reading on a few cake sites (selling cakes that is as if i would cheat on you lot) and some of them are saying 'plaque is pastillage not for eating decoration only' i know i wouldn't want to eat something that hard or pretty but i have used it on cakes and i am starting to worry in case a child starts chewing on it and get ill or something. so tell me is it completely edible or not. i'm very confused
TIA

It's my understanding that pastillage is completely edible. It's what they put on it that may not be, or they may just be trying to keep someone from chipping a tooth! LOL I'm sure that others will have opinions as well, so if nothing else, here's a bump!

it's edible, but it will be really hard. I don't think anyone would want to eat it, at least I've never had that issue, they usually think its fake.

Yes it is 100% edible. It wont make anyone ill. Its just not nice to eat. If you are unsure in anyway just write a little note on the box. Just to cover yourself
