I have a wedding shower cake to do. The future mother-in-law would like to have a giraffe cake topper on it (the bride collects giraffes) She sent me this link to help with ideas. I am afraid it might be too hard.

Can anyone suggest the easiest way to do this?? Or something different. Her flowers are red roses and white cala lillies. I would appreciate any help and or suggestions you all could give!! TIA

I would think buying a set of plastic geraffes and then adding the hat and vail to them would be the easiest way to do this one... i would be hard and super time consuming to try to do these out of fondant or gumpaste.

Thank you both! I was really wanting to try and make them for her but I may have to break down and buy or leave off. Disco lady!!! Those are wonderful!! Thank you so much for the pictures!! I am going to have to at least try for my own piece of mind! lol I told her if they looked too bad I was leaving them off though!! lol She was ok with that too.

Thanks again both of you!

Maybe you could just do one giraffe like the pink one I posted if it's for a bridal shower. Good luck icon_smile.gif

A giraffe cake was just posted under children's birthday by Izabel.
She spelled it "giraf" if you do a search.

Thank you discolady. I will go check it out now. I have two more questions for you if you don't mind. Was it hard to make/attach the mane on the neck? If I do the white one would it look weird with red "spots"? Her colors are red and white. I think black too, maybe that would be ok?

THanks again for all of your help! It is very much appreciated!
