I just bought an Epson printer yesterday and am waiting for my ink to arrive. I saw a post that recommended avoiding Epson and to buy a Canon. Need some more input. Should I box my Epson back up and buy a Canon? Anyone out there have an Epson and like it? I bought a CX4800 that prints ,scans and copies. It uses 4 ink cartridges.

Since you've already invested in the printer and ink, I wouldn't return it. Just be sure to maintain it so you don't get any serious clogs...print a maintenance image at draft quality on regular paper once a week. You'll also need to purchase a chip resetter if you plan to refill the cartridges. Save the OEM ink cartridges that came with your printer. You may need the chips to get your KK Epson cartridges to work. You'll be happy with the images that it prints.

Thanaks Lisa. Once I get my cartridges can I contact you if I need help? I have no idea what I'm doing.

Sure and it's not as complicated as it sounds. You'll do great with it thumbs_up.gif As soon as you get your inks, you should be able to pop them right in and start printing.

Sally,

i am looking at that same printer at office depot -- are you buying yours from an office place? they are so much less expensive than buying one through KopyKakes.

Yes. I bought from Office Max for 79.99. The ink is $72.00 from Kopykakes, but they said it's more ink than you get with the Canon cartridges. Their site says this should yield 85-100 prints. It's a nice printer/scanner, so if I end up not using it for images I can still use it for my home office.
