Oh no! icon_surprised.gif I am doing a cake that I just need a 12" circle to draw a dart board on and I need to know if I can mix gumpast with the fondant to give me just a little more? Is this going to change the texture of it? Cause I need to paint on it and I want the soft look of fondant.
Is it going to dry faster with the gumpast and can I still put it in the fridge???

THANKS, Stephanie icon_biggrin.gif

You can mix GP with Fondant and it will be fine.

It will change the taste and the texture, but it will make that piece much stronger and it will dry faster as well. I would suggest telling the guests to remove that piece when they cut the cake and just not serve it. It won't taste all that good. Just knead the two pastes together in equal portions, 50/50, and yes, it can be painted and it can be refrigerated once it has set up and dried.
