Royal For Color Flow

When using royal icing instead of color flow, do you still make the royal running and make it 'flow' in or do you just use it as you normally. I am making a 3D Nemo cake and would perfer the fins to be matte like the cake instead of the glossy finish. i hope there is someone who can HELP!!!! Thanks so much in advance for help. :cry icon_cry.gif

Royal is very very similar to color flow; I would suggest treating it exactly the same as colorflow, and thinning it out.

Yes, make it runny. Try a small sample and check it out.
