Has anyone decorated cupcakes making the icing all fluffy?? What tip and how do you do it? Also, what is the trick to getting true red for your icing??? HELP!!

not sure about the icing question, but I do know that you can get a true red color by adding more red color gel. The color will darken the longer it sits. usaribbon.gif

If you start with pink icing and add red to it, it will take less coloring to get the shade you want. Also, if you add 2 different shades of red, I use wilton red red and christmas red, the color comes out better.

For fluffy icing I use the Whipped Cream Buttercream recipe from CC. Just look in the recipe section. To make them pretty, use a lg star tip (like a 1M), and start piping around the outside in a circular motion working in to center. Then pipe a second spiral on top. I learned this from one of the Wilton publications.
